I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in the mental health field since 2009. I opened my private practice in 2018, where I focus on working with children, teens, adults, and families. Many of my referrals come from trusted sources in the community, including doctors, schools, and past clients.
Over the years, I’ve built strong, collaborative relationships with local providers. I work closely with schools to support students through IEP and 504 meetings, and I partner with California Victims of Crime and the local District Attorney’s office to advocate for those in need.
I'm deeply passionate about helping people find their voice—especially during times when it feels hardest to speak up.
A little about me and my family: I moved to the Central Coast in 1986 and grew up in Los Osos, graduating from Morro Bay High School (Go Pirates!). I earned my master’s degree in psychology from Chapman University in 2009.
My husband is a retired L.A. County Fire Captain, and together we have a busy, blended family. These days, we’re restoring our 115-year-old home while wrangling 12 chickens, two doodles, and two horses—it’s a bit of a zoo, but we love it!
All people deserve a warm, welcoming space where they can discuss concerns and solve problems. I believe that people develop and thrive in relationships that are built on trust and security. As your therapist, I will follow your lead, highlight your strengths, and collaboratively guide you toward your goals. Your wants and needs will always be my top priority!
I specialize in working with toddlers, preschoolers, high school students, and their parents and families. My educational background includes knowledge around positive and respectful parenting, how to promote secure parent-child attachment relationships, and the challenges and joys that come with the prenatal and postpartum period.
Regardless of age, I believe in the power of play, storytelling, and art to help navigate the highs and lows of life and demonstrate each person’s unique perspective. I will honor and support your connection to your neighborhood, community, and culture. I look forward to working with you and helping you meet your goals.
Life is more enjoyable when we are feeling whole, and connected to the important people in our life. But that is not always our reality. I support individuals working through the emotional turbulence of a variety of mental health concerns, parenting issues, and marriage difficulties. I work from evidence-based approaches with a cognitive behavioral framework mixed with mindfulness, attachment, and family systems thinking to best meet your needs. I have training and 9 years experience working with children, adults and families in several different settings. In addition, I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and couples work. Every experience is unique and personal and deserves to be explored in a compassionate and meaningful way. My goal is to provide you with a space to feel and gain tools so that you can grow, heal and feel whole once again.
My goal is to provide you with a safe and encouraging space to explore, grow, and change. It is my honor to support people in working towards lives of fulfillment and authenticity, utilizing an integrated model of therapy structured around a strengths-based, humanistic approach.
I am happy to work with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents through this process.
I believe you have the capacity for healing and growth. Whether you are feeling stuck, isolated, or discouraged, together we can identify your strengths and implement a plan to allow you to move forward towards a life of flourishing, hope, and joy.
I follow a person-centered approach to therapy, working primarily with your needs and strengths to help you get where you want to be so that you feel empowered to live with intention and integrity. I honor and trust your personal wisdom; my work is to help you see yourself clearly and believe in your own ability to heal. Providing non-judgmental, safe, and honest space, I strive to decolonize and de-center the therapeutic process so that your lived experience is prioritized in therapy, while acknowledging the context of systems within which we live. Specializing in neurodiversity, grief, depression and suicidality, I am here to walk beside you as we work through self-discovery together. Whether you are struggling with major life choices, have a mental health concern, or need help with your relationship, I am happy to assist you. I see individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.
Navigating life’s challenges can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, and overwhelmed but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you're carrying the weight of past experiences, feeling tension in your relationship, or worried about your child’s emotional world, I’m here to offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach is rooted in relational psychodynamic therapy, which means we’ll gently look beneath the surface—exploring how past relationships and experiences may be shaping how you feel and relate in the present. With curiosity and care, we’ll work together to understand these patterns and create space for new ways of being. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your relationship, I’m here to help you move toward greater clarity, connection, and a deeper sense of well-being.
